The trip
A full day exploring Grivale’s own corner of Kilifi County. Morning at the Marafa Depression — “Hell’s Kitchen” — the eroded sandstone canyon of red, orange and white ridges, with a local guide who knows the Giryama legend behind it.
The afternoon slows down: a homestead visit, a walk through the bush with a naturalist pointing out birds and butterflies, and a sundowner back at camp as the valley turns gold.
